From enjoying a simple snack at a local street vender Anthony Bourdain style to enjoying a first class restaurant right next to the surf it's all available.
You can find everything from fresh sushi, korean cuisine, local seafood, pork tocino(Philippine BBQ) stands, to American style diner food. 
There's also a number of different beach front restaurants along the cost on your way into the city. A higher end restaurant on the beach will run about 12 U.S.D. a plate. Or you can enjoy the local cuisine and get full for about 2 U.S.D. I personally enjoy one just as much as the other.
If shopping is more your scene, your not left out. Were about 4km away from Malatapay market. Malatapay is a local market where every Wed. people come from all over to buy everything from fresh produce to local souvenirs.
On the retail side Dumaguete has Lee's Plaza, Robin's Mall & Cinema, along with countless other stores and shops in the down town area. 
There's lots to choose from in our area if your the outdoors type.
We have excellent snorkeling right off our beach in front of the property. There's numerous dive shops and Scuba tours available along the coast that also offer restaurants.
In near by Valencia there's hiking the Casaroro falls, zip line, and mountain biking trails.

Travel to Oslob and swim with the whale sharks! About a hour bus ride will take you over to Cebu island to the town of Oslob. For around 25 U.S.D. you can swim with these regal and gentle creatures. It's the perfect place to get that once in a life time vacation photo.
Dumaguete has a wide range of places to go and see on the night life part of things. They have everything from disco's, beach bars, karaoke bars, to side walk cafes on the boulevard. So if you wanna go to the Hayahay for reggae wednesday to enjoy live bands and drink specials or just take in the view of the boulevard at the Blue Monkey Grill and savor one of there family reciepes Dumaguete has it. Most bars and disco's close around 2 to 4am. But even after that there's plenty of local restaurants and hang outs to keep the night going or get a late night snack on your way home.
